An accumulation of a million pedal strokes later and another month of the KOM Challenge has come and gone. Hopefully the thousands of vertical feet that have been gained over the 31 days brought you all memorable times solo or shared with phenomenal views! Such as this...
Now, to the winners!
Rolling into first place this month for the men's division, Brian Toone of Hoover, AL wracking up an impressive 200,628 ft! Brian will be recording his next 12 months on Strava for free and styling in a new Capo Dorato Short Sleeve Jersey and Bibs from Studio Velo. Joshua Landis from Sharon, VT came in second with 164,429 ft and has also won a free 12 month Strava membership. You might spot him sporting one of his new 3-Pair of High End Capo Socks! Great job to all the men!
Now to the ladies of the month! I'd like to extend a huge congratulations to Patti Whyte once again for dominating the field. She's a gracious winner that understands the rules of only getting to win once. That doesn't stop her from coming out on top many months in a row. Keep it up Patti! Going down the list, the Queen of the Mountain this month is Nancy Farzan of Belgium recording 82,749 ft. She's won a 12 month Strava membership and will be looking sharp in her new Capo Arona Short Sleeve Jersey and Shorts. Second place goes to a trail queen, AJ from Aliso Viejo, CA with 73,996 ft. AJ will enjoy a 12 month Strava membership and 3 Pair of High End Capo Socks! Last but not least, Bethany Allen of Berkley, CA put up an impressive 3rd place finish with 71,026 ft. Great job Bethany! You've won a 6 month Strava memberhsip and a Studio Velo custom T!
Two additional categories for the KOM Challenge are the Group entry and the Shop entry. Again, playing by the rules we at Studio Velo can't win every month and send a genuine congratulations to Mike's Bikes for their monthly standings! Great job guys! For the group category, Mission Cyclery took it to the top! Bravo!
I hope you all enjoyed riding through July and off to a great start for August!
