14,187,290 feet - that's 4,835,028 meters - is the total (as of 9:15 AM PDT) put up in March so far by the 827 riders participating this month in the Studio Velo KOM Challenge - that averges out to 17,155 feet per rider (5,846m), not too shabby. Those 14 million feet are nearly the walking distance to New York City from San Francisco, if you were putting one foot in front of the other. Another factoid: There are 159 clubs taking part, along with 25 bike shops from 22 countries and 36 of the states in the USA. Good stuff everyone, keep grinding those feet (meters|) out.
